On Moving & Being Moved was a solo exhibition at The Rybin Room that commemorated moving back to my hometown of Omaha, Nebraska after leaving more than twenty years earlier. Sculptures using cardboard boxes that I received from online shopping orders act as both pedestal and frame. Painted in pleasing hues, the boxes are filled with found objects, each piece a balance of mass-manufactured items packed alongside natural materials, inherited objects, and what some might consider trash. Minimal drawings refer to the sculptures with associated colors, notes, and lines connecting the ideas behind each piece.
